Chickpea Flour Crackers

Chickpea Flour Crackers

If you know me, you know that I love a good crunch. And salt. Preferably together. Cue: these homemade chickpea flour crackers! I have been justifying spending $5 on a box of crackers for far too long- and these babies have been the perfect swap! Not to mention you end up saving ohhh so much waste. Both your wallet and the earth end up happy- can we ask for more?! Try these out and leave a comment below what you think!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chickpea flour (garbanzo bean flour)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tbsp flax meal
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • Seasonings of choice: salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Combine ingredients in a large bowl, mix thoroughly until dough forms evenly.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out dough with a pin roll or any round surface (a jar would work great). Tip: you may need to oil the top of the dough or the roller to prevent sticking. This will just give you crispier crackers!
  • Once dough is thinly rolled out, use a pizza roller to cut into squares. Don’t separate them!
  • Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, or until crispy and golden.
  • Break apart crackers and store in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
