Chickpea Flour Crackers
If you know me, you know that I love a good crunch. And salt. Preferably together. Cue: these homemade chickpea flour crackers! I have been justifying spending $5 on a box of crackers for far too long- and these babies have been the perfect swap! Not to mention you end up saving ohhh so much waste. Both your wallet and the earth end up happy- can we ask for more?! Try these out and leave a comment below what you think!
- 1 cup chickpea flour (garbanzo bean flour)
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tbsp flax meal
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- Seasonings of choice: salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.
Preheat oven to 400.
Combine ingredients in a large bowl, mix thoroughly until dough forms evenly.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out dough with a pin roll or any round surface (a jar would work great). Tip: you may need to oil the top of the dough or the roller to prevent sticking. This will just give you crispier crackers!
Once dough is thinly rolled out, use a pizza roller to cut into squares. Don’t separate them!
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, or until crispy and golden.
Break apart crackers and store in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
